The BC-HTC is led by an interdisciplinary team of nationally and internationally-renowned researchers and methodologic experts with expertise in hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV), HIV, and sexually transmitted infections, epidemiology, effectiveness research, quantitative epidemiologic methods, analysis and management of large laboratory and health services linked datasets, HCV epidemiology, HCV treatment effectiveness, illness cost; HCV/HIV in vulnerable populations, laboratory diagnosis; clinicians and provincial public health leaders responsible for HCV policy, surveillance and overall programming with roles in national and international policy development. Most of our team members are public health leaders involved in program and policy development related to HCV and other infections at the provincial and national levels, and are well situated to translate emerging findings into policy and practice.
